Heather (Graves) Rader has owned and operated How Charming Photography since 2004. Prior to starting her own business, she worked in the public sector in marketing and public relations capacities. Heather captures portraits ranging from newborns and family portraits to school and corporate photography. Website and Graphic Design are two of Heather's other specialties.

She developed a model ambassador program to allow portraiture discounts to participants, but also a valuable opportunity for community involvement. Capture Your Fitness 5K Run and Walk brought together a number of these representatives, leaders, organizations, and more to give back to a number of organizations. Over $11,000 was awarded in scholarships and donations to various community organizations during the three year run.

She holds a bachelors of arts degree in Communications from University of Southern Indiana with an emphasis in public relations and marketing. She also holds minors in human resources and advertising.

Community outreach initiatives have already been developed by determining a single cause and a beneficiary. A marketing plan was complete with social media integration for project completion. These initiatives have included:

  • Sharing Safe Smiles to benefit Local Law Enforcement Agencies
  • History Slides Home
(personalized bricks for the Linton Youth Sports Complex)
  • Caps 4 Benches
    (Honoring Madi Moore)
  • Strike Up your Memory
(benefited a number of local nursing home Memory Gardens)
  • Propeller Pals (assisted a number of local school nurses)
  • Pull Together for a Community Smile (benefiting the Ronald McDonald House)

One ongoing outreach initiative is that of a Golf Ball Drive to support the Military. You may view additional information here AND join the Facebook page for new additions.

She has been married to Kevin Rader since May 2019.
