Remember the Difference

By Heather Rader

Both patriotic holidays, Memorial Day and Veterans Day honor the military. There is, however, a significant difference between the two (in additional to their date on the calendar).

Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday in May (this year, May 25) honors the men and women who died while serving in the military. We come together to reflect on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice defending and protecting our Nation.

Observed every November 11, Veterans Day recognizes all who have served in the Armed Forces.
