[ On the Radar :: Sleep Cycle ]

01.03.2021 …

Lexie Baker, of Sullivan, Indiana, has introduced a new service project: Sleep Cycle! She is collecting thin plastic bags (i.e. those from Wal-Mart, Dollar General, etc.) and converting them into mattresses. She then will donate these to homeless shelters around Indiana. Each mattress takes around 700 bags to make one mattress. Therefore, she needs YOUR help.

These plastic bag mattresses will aid those who do not have a bed to rest their heads on at night by provide an insulation layer from the ground to fight against hypothermia. These also do not attract bed bugs or lice. Due to their portability and lightweight in nature, they will make a big difference in the lives of those who receive them. #kindnessforcade#chooseLove
